Facebook Ending Support for Website Comments

Facebook recently announced that it will end support for its Social Plugins, including the Facebook Comments widget, in February 2026.

When we introduced this integration on our local media publisher platform more than a decade ago, it added real value for publishers by tapping into familiar tools and helping boost engagement. Over time, though, usage has steadily declined.

While Facebook Comments has been the default option in our publisher tools, a native commenting solution has always been available. W

e expect the impact of this change to be small, but if you have questions or want help switching to native comments, our support team is here for you.
